CNY Lunch at Realfood Cafe

The Sunday that just passed was the last day of the Chinese New Year celebrations.  Organic Living had organised a CNY luncheon at the Realfood Cafe (110 Killiney Road, Somerset MRT), an organic vegetarian restaurant and 40% of the proceeds went to the Awareness Place Wellbeing Centre.  We were honored to have Jee Yang, the owner of Realfood Cafe, design the menu for us!

Here's what we had:

Starter: Fresh Popiah
Mains: Herb soup with beancurd and carrots, Cauliflower Tempura and Yaki Onigiri
Dessert: Yam coconut with sago
Beverage: Mugi Cha

Unfortunately, I couldn't eat this due to my peanut allergy - I think the chef forgot our request to have it peanut-free!

It may not look like much, but it was very filling. The cauliflower tempura actually tasted like fried fish.

This dessert had just the right amount of sweetness.

Every table had handmade paper baskets to hold the cutlery!

I really enjoyed the food here and will definitely go back. Expect to pay $10 - $15 per person.  The Realfood cafe also has a grocery section just in case you have any last minute organic purchases for your home.
